Made it to ComicCon yesterday to represent the site. More later, going to Las Vegas tomorrow with friends & will type a full report when I return.

I did get a chance to meet Anna & she says 'hi' !

Found this report on the Land of The Lost Panel which Anna was on also

Lights flickered across the stage and the classic sound could be heard of a Sleestak just before the shadowy shape ran across. Everything went completely dark and the monitors above came on to reveal the Land of the Lost teaser:

Will Ferrell sits on a stool beneath a spotlight in an old, darkened room strumming on a banjo and slowly singing the original theme. He makes it about halfway through and then looks up saying, "I always forget this part. Does anyone remember the words?" Words flash across the screen: MARSHALL, WILL, HOLLY, ROUTINE EXPEDITION. The scene comes back to Will, trying again to sing but having to mumble through some of the words. "LAND OF THE LOST, 2009" appears and the teaser ends.

To the applause, director Brad Silberling joined stars Anna Friel, Jorma Taccone and Danny McBride and original creators Sid and Marty Krofft. Silberling promised, right of the bat, a number of things that would definitely make an appearance in the film: Pylons and crystals ("In new and wonderous ways," Enik, Cha-Ka, and dinosaours Dopey and Grumpy). He did say, though, that Uncle Jack was sequel territory.

As a special surprise, Will Ferrell made a video appearance. Though pre-taped, the joke was set up that he was answering questions live from another hotel in San Diego and had a bad audio connection.

The panel ended with a brief bit of footage that they said would be officially available within the month:

White on black text reads:

10 thousand pounds

Over 20 feet tall

Driven by hunger

Never before witnessed by man

The scene cuts to a dinosaur walking through a prehistoric jungle. In the foreground, Will Ferrell looks directly into the camera with his back to the creature.

"He's right behind me, isn't he?" says Ferrell, "I'm just trying not to move."

The theme comes up and it cuts to the "Land of the Lost, 2009" text.

Land of the Lost hits theaters on July 17, 2009.

Congrats on getting to see Anna again, Amanda!! You too always look so lovely together.

What a weekend - meeting and cuddling with Anna Friel and then a trip to Vegas - it doesn't get much better than that

Haha, you're right, actually the last time I met Anna (at the PaleyFest) I had just come back from Vegas too...

Alrighty, our report from the event as well as some teaser photos are posted below (I've sent Dave the entire batch). Tannim is going to write her report too when she arrives back home from vacation in Canada;

Tannim & I arrived in the hall at the convention center at 9:45 AM (the Pushing Daisies panel was starting at 3:15 PM) so we were extremely early & the hall was already filled with Daisies fans eagerly awaiting the Q&A. Since security didn’t shuffle out crowds from the halls after the end of each panel, we sat through all of the events in the hall to avoid losing our fourth row seats. We ended up sitting through four panels for six hours & during the panel transition breaks, I kept texting Dave to update him on what was occurring.

The Warner Bros. booth was giving away GIANT Pushing Daisies bags (& they only had a limited amount of them & restricted one bag per fan *first come first served*) & the fans were causing a riot trying to get their hands on them. Tannim waited politely & we both got a bag, but they refused to give us a third (because we wanted to get one for Dave too – sorry hun, we tried!). We also got a Daisies pin with the DVD release date on it, a panel information sheet, first look at second season promotional pictures & the promotional clip for the new season (we sneakily managed to get those for Dave, haha).

The entire cast was at the panel & they accidentally showed the pilot again from the first season & Bryan Fuller ran up on stage to apologize, so they showed us footage from Season 2 (which looks great btw!). Barry hosted the panel & the cast introduced themselves & spoke about their roles in the second season. They mentioned a new character called ‘Pigby’ LOL & said that sometime during the season we get to meet Emerson’s mom. Emerson is writing a book for his daughter to find him, Lee & Chuck get to sp00n (yayness), they said Olive would be spending time in a nunnery...& there would be an entire musical episode!

Most of the panel were questions from fans, I got in line to ask a question but never made it

hehe. While in line, I got to take several pictures for the site though. Someone asked Kristin to sing, so she sang ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ & it was great!

They showed us the reel again for the second season & everyone went ballistic

. They ended the panel right afterwards & a few fans ran to the stage to meet the cast & others ran out the doors to meet them downstairs for the signing at the Warner Bros. booth. Since I was in line for questions & was close to the stage I made my way up to Anna & told her I was ‘Amanda’ from this site & she remembered me & was very happy to see me! She reached over the panel to hold my hand & asked how I was doing. I told her things were going well & that I was covering the event footage for her site & Dave since he was unable to make it to the event. She mentioned that she’d seen the photos of us from the PaleyFest on the site & I asked her if it would be alright if we could have another picture together from this event for her website & she said ‘of course!’ & stood up. Tannim & I waited on the right side of the stage while photographers were taking photos of the cast on-stage.

Afterwards, Anna made her way offstage for the site picture & we hugged & talked very very briefly about Dave’s visit & she said she couldn’t wait to see both of us soon. Warner Bros security was rushing her out of the hall to make it to the Land of the Lost panel so she quickly gave Tannim a big hug & a kiss on the cheek & apologized that she couldn’t spent more time with us because they were rushing her to the next event.

This was my third time meeting Anna in person & I’ll continue to shower her with my gratitude for the time she spends with us at these events. She is beyond wonderful, I cannot thank her enough! Thank you so much Anna. All of the coverage of the event is exclusively for your site & I hope Tannim & I covered everything you & Dave needed!

Tannim & I left the hall to attend the cast signings downstairs, but we knew we wouldn’t be able to get in. Since some fans showed up too late for the event (& the hall was full) they headed downstairs to at least catch the signing & only a limited amount of fans would able to get in. We got to the Warner Bros. booth & the fans were absolutely insane, they were being rude, screaming, crying hysterically because they couldn’t get in to meet them, fighting, pushing each other, trying to run past security to get to the booth…it was insane. Tannim & I stood by the ‘Watchmen’ helicopter patiently & Warner Bros. security approached us & we told them we were just taking video clips for Anna’s Official Site & since we we’re being calm & polite they let us stay there (a few feet away from the whole cast!) & yelled at all of the other fans to leave. Security & staff let us spend the entire time at the signing next to the cast without making us leave & we’re joking around with us & stuff. They let us take as many photos as we wanted & video footage for Anna’s site.

In Anna’s place for the signing, they put Field in her seat (the actor who plays young Ned) he was such a sweetheart. We we’re only a few feet away from all of the cast members & many of them passed by us several times. Security was very nice to us because we we’re helping them keep crazy fans away from trying to get to Lee Pace, so they let us hang out next to him & talk to him briefly during the signing, we we’re really grateful for that! We chatted with Lee, he didn’t seem to know why Anna wasn’t next to him at the signing…we assumed he knew that she had to go to the Land of the Lost panel, but he had no clue where she was & was asking us if we knew & what time she was coming back to join the cast. We told him we had no clue when Anna was coming back, but we quickly gave him information on the LOTL panel. Even though Anna never made it back in time for the Pushing Daisies signing, it was still very fun to spend time next to Lee & the cast!

Amanda basically covered everything and already sent my pics and videos along with hers to Dave, so I'm not going to write a long report on what happened LOL.

I got to meet Anna for the first time *cheers*. After Anna talked briefly to us and then took pics with the rest of the cast, she met Amanda and I at the edge of the stage (which didn't make WB security happy at all). I managed to take the picture of Amanda and Anna, despite all the chaos happening around us. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to get a pic of myself and Anna (or an autograph :-[

) because the Warner Bros. Security were rushing her off to the "Land of the Lost" panel. Anna apologized to me, but quickly gave me a big hug and a kiss before she was rushed out the door.

Suffice to say though, I had a great time (even though a lot of the people who attend Comic Con go absolutely psycho and mental to get free swag). It was great to finally meet Anna, and I had a lot of fun chatting with the security staff and Lee Pace.
