Anna's not listed as being in the cast of Goal 3 which I find pretty interesting since her storyline technically wasn't wrapped up at the end of Goal 2. Actually nor is Alessandro Nivola.

A is not listed in the cast of a film I'm never going to see. (She is still listed at IMDB and others sites however.) With all due apology to any fans of these films out there, IMHO this 'franchise' is dead. They are only making the third film out of contractual neccessity. I would doubt that A gives a fig if she appears in 'Goal3' or not. Maybe financially it would pay, but not in any other way I could imagine. Would hope that 'P.D.' is set to lift her out of a world where she needs to play roles like Ros in the Goal films. (At least for a while.) And if you are worried, Empire Online has recently put up a story about Goal3, which it says has been given the go ahead. (And A is in the cast list.) All three films have had different directors, not really a good sign.

The only reason I brought it up is usually when there's a contractual agreement like a trilogy, usually the actors contracts have the same option where they can't get out of the role as much as they want (the main examples I can think of recently are the Star Wars trilogy, plus the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants films). IMO they should never have made the contracts as a trilogy of Goal in the first place.

My guess is - considering how the 2nd installment finished - A may not be in it... I suppose imdb gets updated after info from the studios... so possibly some scenes have been re-written to lose A's character... just purely due to ending of 2.... Will ask....

My guess is - considering how the 2nd installment finished - A may not be in it... Is anyone over the age of twelve really at all interested in these films? I've not seen either of the first two. (That also goes for 'Mad Cows', 'The War Bride', 'Irish Jam', and 'Niagara Motel'. Have also never sat through all of 'Rogue Trader'. A doing cockney...er, no thanks.) I'm just not into being a completist; if a film has that certain smell I just don't go near it. If A isn't in 'Goal3' surely that is one less poor film chalked on her account and that has to be a good thing.

I've seen them and I'm certainly over 12 (although my boy-ish good looks belay my true identity !! ) The first one wasn't too bad a film - decent story although I think the football footage was certainly a bit on the cheesy side (it was an obvious ending) - but still not as bad as "When Saturday Comes" - which is teeth-grindingly awful... The 2nd film was a bit of a let down - meandering and Anna's role was restricted.... definitely fell foul of an embarrassingly poor attempt to publicise the film in my eyes .... As for the other films ya mention joe - I agree on MC , probably RT and to some extent Irish Jam (although I must admit to enjoying it) - but The War Bride and Niagara Motel are pretty decent films.....
