4 hour split-film? Sounds like months of filming (depending on how large Anna's role is). Apparently her character is 'Captain Elizabeth Bonny' - thank God she isn't playing 'Tinkerbell' or something. Perhaps she's a female pirate that kicks ass? That would be awesome.
I'm not at all fond of made-for-tv films, or any film version of "Peter Pan" - the Disney animated version is overrated (like most Disney films, their 'interpretations' of original stories are all chopped up, distorted, brainwashed, and crappy). The Steven Spielberg after-Pan version with Dustin Hoffman (as Hook) and Robin Williams (as Peter) was horrendous - just hearing that one of that actors from that version is going to be in this new one is already terrifying me. Oh, and the latest live action version (with Jason Isaacs as both Mr. Darling and Hook) was not that good either.
I wanted to see the live play version at Kensington Gardens while I was in London last September, but Janine and Vic wanted to see "Avenue Q" instead - heard it was really good though.
It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, as I've never heard of a Pan prequel - plus it has Rhys Ifans and Anna, let's see.

Yare Jegbefume (Anna's co-star in "Neverland") gives her a very nice mention; "I play one of Anna Friel's main pirates," Yare said. "My character's quite vicious, although he's very obedient towards Anna's character Liz. Basically anything she says goes.
