Yes, a very insightful interview I thought, unlike most of the recent ones with Anna. He seems to have it all pretty well sorted - he's a very lucky guy

Yes, a very insightful interview I thought, unlike most of the recent ones with Anna. Did you think so, davec? Couldn't get past the headline myself. Half expected them to refer to Anna as his 'common-law wife'. Although the overall tone of the piece was all back-slappy, there were also a number of other digs (subtle and not so). Very surprised at DT agreeing to be interviewed by the Mail, it's not usually his game.

Yeah, it's a shame the editor chose that tiny, insignificant aspect of DT's interview as their headline. I guess they were looking for something to suitably outrage their readership. Many other publishers used the 'paps up the skirt' bit - no doubt to tempt a rather different customer profile Looking past the headline I thought the interview showed us something of DT's psyche and intellectual and emotional intelligence, and how he relates with Anna and Gracie. I concede there were no great surprises, but I found it interesting - more so than the usual gossip and chit-chat we get from interviews with Anna. I guess it's just that I'm more interested in Rudolf Hess's letters to his kids and how blokes like DT and Billy Bragg deal with becoming fathers than I am in the latest trend in false eyelashes and how many doughnuts it's safe to eat before it shows on screen. And as for the digs and jibes - I just ignore them ;D

Fair play, davec, can't argue with your defence.
No doubting DT's intelligence, just found it odd he should talk to The Daily Hell and open up so much. Guess the interviewer must have been a charmer.
DT doesn't have much problem being taken seriously by much of the media. Unfortunately the same is not true of Anna.

What is this fixation the media has about them not being married? It's not like they are the first couple to not get married. They seem happy so be it. Sadly it does seem like the press does not take Anna seriously. Perhaps they need to realise that she has a brain behind her beauty. The part about David talking about his relationship with both Anna and Gracie was very sweet!!

There was a very sad, but also in parts hilarious, documentary about dog breeders on BBC1 last night. If you want to know what the typical Mail reader looks and sounds like, track this doc down. There was a review of the Daisies DVD boxset in The Mail on Sunday last weekend. (I know, why so up to the minute, it has only been in the shops a couple of months!) It didn't get past some supposed witticisms about how white Anna's teeth were in the show.

Caught the back end of an interview with DT on the Simon Mayo show on BBC Radio5Live today (Sept 9th). Would have been around 2.15pm (ish). Don't know how long the whole interview was. It was pre-recorded not live, though DT appears to be in London at the mo promoting 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas'. Expect he will show up on Radio4 soonish and in a few newspapers.
Would put up a link, but hey, am too lazy.
Anna was mentioned this time, though only in passing.

Yeah seems the whole cast/producer are doing the rounds on all TV shows... caught the interview on BBC Breakfast this morning with the 2 boys and Mark Herman...
Mark Herman lives not far from me and was on the local regional news the other week when they had a special showing of the film at the local flicks...(they showed a clip with DT in ...)
Love his film "Brassed Off"... Pete Postlethwaite's finest hour !!

You admitting to watching daytime/breakfast telly, Dave?
Advertising for the film has been pretty heavy. Even caught sight of a TV trailer last night in the middle of ITV4's Tour of Britain coverage. (Some tremendous West Country weather. That'll have the tourists flocking in.)
(Sorry to be predictably contrarian, but I didn't go much on 'Brassed Off'. It's got Ewan McGregor in... Have a few 'actors' I try to avoid without fail. John Simm and John Cusack are two others.)
