Sam & I were audience members for Anna's interview on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson yesterday afternoon. Not sure when everyone will have a chance to watch the episode (hopefully soon ) but its fantastic & Anna was absolutely gorgeous as always.
Until Dave receives the clip or it pops around online somewhere, I've written a report for the site on the interview;
The interview starts off with a clip from one of the opening scenes of the first episode for the second season of Pushing Daisies - Craig announces Anna as his guest & she comes onstage & gives Craig an enormous hug. They chat about the film they were in together (Niagra Motel) & mention that they hadn't seen each other in quite some time.
Anna mentions that her & David bought Craig 'lucky underpants' for his audition its a hilarious segment...something about a special door in the underwear, hehe. Right afterwards Anna discusses Pushing Daisies & how she had been keeping close track of the ratings at first & says that she no longer plans to do so because it was making her nervous.
She mentions having two pet cats at her residence in Los Angeles, they've been shredding the underarm section of her clothing & Craig had to throw in there that cats eat their owners when they die, totally random . Then Anna mentions that they have a raccoon in their garden that makes loud noises & Craig dubs it the 'Farty Raccoon' & mentions he would like one of his own.
Anna goes on to discuss her travels in California & how her life has changed. It was a very brief but really good (& hilarious!) interview. A few minutes afterwards during the short break, Anna remained onstage talking with Craig & then she stepped down from the stage & made her way to a small group that she went backstage with. After the recording (about 10 mins later) I asked the stage manager if he could give Anna a card I had written to her & he went backstage to find her for me but came back a few minutes later apologizing that she & all the other guests had left the studio already.
I did not have a chance to send her greetings & congrats from the site this time around, it was all really rushed, really really sorry about that everyone I tried my best.
Of course, no cameras allowed whatsoever...we did get one picture outside the studio after the recording, Sam asked for Craig's 'Farty Raccoon' sign & they gave it to us ;
