Don't know about anyone else but this is definitely my favourite Anna film. If you look at the reviews on Amazon or elsewhere it is clear that there is a small but fervent fanbase. Despite its BAFTA nomination, 'MWY' has never been shown on terrestrial TV, why? If ever there was a candidate for potential 'cult' amongst Anna's films this is it, and a terrestrial airing would only help this. (For all those who harbour hopes of Anna one day 'making it', take heart from her 'MWY' co-star Michelle Williams' career. When this film was made Williams was in a slump, but one smallish role in 'Brokeback Mountain ' later she's on the verge of A-list.)

'MWY' makes a very belated appearance on terrestrial TV, BBC1 Tuesday 27th November at 11.35pm. Why now after, what, six years?
Will not have it from anyone that this isn't A's best film.

Great film- by far her best. Not perfect but the two girls are believable and both get to show their dramatic worth - Anna was used effectively for the first time since Brookside.
It's on BBC1 again Wednesday 11:25.

I liked it. At times I really didn't like Anna's character but I think you were ment to feel that way. At other times I felt really sorry for her. I loved her crazy 80's blond frizzy hair though and the costumes! She was certainly wild, i can tell you that!
