The Tribe was probably the first Stephen Poliakoff film I saw, about ten years ago, and (like most of his TV work) it is a very powerful drama. So far as I can see it is only available on DVD in US (Region 1) format. Yes, the sexy scenes are readily available online, but I would love to be able to see the whole film again.
Is there any reason why this British film by a British writer/director, with British actors, some of them top-class, and about an alternative but still very British society, is not available in Britain?
Does anyone here know if there is any way of getting hold of a copy viewable on British DVD or even video players?
