Hey everyone - I've noticed lately that when I browse this discussion board on my iPhone, the advertisement above is always automatically the same banner stating "Access this forum easier with our new Mobile App!" Supposedly a much easier way to navigate the forum without using the Internet tab - the specs are below;
Compatibilities;
- iPhone4
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 3G
- Original iPhone
- iPod Touch
There's a free version of course, and a paid version ($2.99). Here's a link to compare the two apps.
I've downloaded and purchased the 'paid app' to check out how it works here - and its FANTASTIC!! Considering I browse or post on this forum 99% of the time on my iPhone, it's a Godsend. Logging in, checking PMs, posting, etc. are all really easy to access compared to using the phone's standard web browser (and 10x faster).
I've made some screen shots below of what I see on my iPhone when using this app;
You can add multiple forums that are hosted by Proboards, select Annas.
There are three categories Dave has set up, the one I'm browsing is 'General';
This is what a post looks like while you're browsing threads;
If you're browsing through other member's profiles you have multiple options (including sending a PM) and a chance to publicly view stats;
I love how easy it is to pester Dave using the 'send a message' tab
It's really easy to browse through PMs as well, this is my folder (and it gives a brief preview of message content);
Dave - maybe you can give Anna a heads up?
