Former Pushing Daisies star Anna Friel is making her return to TV by starring in a new three-part drama for ITV.
The 34-year-old actress will play the lead role in the new ITV drama, What to do When Someone Dies, which is based on the novel by Nicci Gerrard and Sean French.
Friel, who lives in Los Angeles with partner David Thewlis and daughter Gracie, will play the role of Ellie Manning - a grieving woman whose husband is killed in a car crash with a mystery woman sitting in the passenger seat of his car.
The three parts will follow her battle to find out the truth about the woman.
ITV's executive producer Sally Head said: "Newly widowed Ellie's journey of bereavement and absolute determination to prove that the woman who died beside her husband was not his lover will prove stirring and compelling stuff.
"This is a script full of heart that will make you laugh and cry - a memorable and modern tale of enduring love."
Friel can soon be seen starring in new movie London Boulevard with Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell.
