Thanks DaveC what did you think of the Neverland & Without You Happy Christmas & New Year Well I thought 'Neverland' was almost unwatchable - a true pile of pooo Best forgotten as quickly as possible. I know it must be difficult to act in front of a green screen with the CGI inserted afterwards but the script was just awful and made good actors look really bad. Even the CGI was very disappointing with the fairies looking like they'd escaped from a 1920s silent movie. Sky can only do better. 'Without You' was really good until the final 20 minutes when the plot unraveled itself and all that had been so mysterious suddenly became preposterous. Haven't they seen 'Silent Witness?' Didn't they realise that even the most dim-witted forensic pathologist would have worked out that the victims of the car crash were assaulted and murdered? And having committed three murders why didn't the murderer kill Anna's character rather than let her kill him? She's feisty but she's only a slip of a girl, for Heaven's sake! It was a real shame because Anna was terrific throughout. Anyway, it was great to see so much of Anna on my TV over the past few weeks and I'm really looking forward to 'Public Enemies' to see even more of her ;D

I agree about Without You - a mess of an ending though i lost patience with it during ep 2.
This was postponed tonight because of a Stephen Lawrence doc but is available to watch on Virgin On Demand. Real demanding, adult drama that is thought provoking and challenging. Anna is great and Aisling Loftus (another brilliant actress/ hottie) is in it. Show now runs Wednesday to Friday at 9PM.

Well I just watched episodes 2 and 3 back to back. Very interesting drama with lots of good social comment and some fine acting by Anna and Daniel Mays. They worked well together in 'The Street' and do so again here.
Again, the most difficult aspect of any drama like this caused the most disappointment - how to conclude the denouement.
Just like 'Without You' the conclusion was incongruous with the characters so carefully portrayed up until then. I have no problem with the 'whodunit' ending but the interpersonal one did not fit. (I won't give it away here).
Anyway, we've now had three shows with 10 hours of the lovely Anna on our TV screens in just a few weeks - must be some BAFTA nominations to come, surely (well, maybe not for 'Neverland').
Well done to Anna - and let's hope to see her on our TVs again soon.
