Hi everyone! It's been ages since I last posted on here, and now I have something I can post about! So last week I was feeling very down; my boyfriend had decided he didn't want to move in with me any more, and my best friend passed away in a car accident. I felt I needed to get myself out of the house and cheer myself up a bit. So, using the money I'd saved for the flat, I bought a ticket to see Uncle Vanya...and it was the best decision I made! I got there early and waited outside the stage door for Anna, I really wanted to meet my favourite actress for the second time, and I also really wanted to thank her for Pushing Daisies and tell her how it got me through my best friend's death. I brought my copy of Pushing Daisies with me and couldn't wait to get it signed! After waiting an hour and a half she finally showed up, running late for a meeting. She signed all the autograph hunters photos and then got to me. She clearly didn't have time to stop and chat but she was very lovely and signed my DVD "To Hannah, <3 Anna Friel". I was so excited, but I really wanted to have a talk with her and get a photo. I asked politely if she'd be able to have a photo with me afterwards and she said "Of course, sweetheart, wait afterwards and I'll come out and meet you". I was over the moon! The play was phenomenal! Anna's acting was astounding, she really portrayed Yelena's character with the purity and frustration that her character was written with in the book. I was incredibly impressed, and the set was amazing! After the show I waited at the stage door in the freezing cold. I befriended the lovely actress Anna Carteret who stood and chatted to me for ages as she waited for her friend, ocasionally asking me to read her texts to her as she didn't have her glasses with her! She then told me she'd go and find out if Anna was coming out. 5 minutes later she came back out and told me Anna apologised and was doing a photoshoot, and would be with me in 10 minutes. So for those 10 minutes I carried on chatting to this wonderful actress about drama schools etc, and she was incredibly helpful, and even wished me luck with my auditions before she left. Finally Anna poked her head out the door, exclaimed "Hello sweetheart! I'm so sorry, come in out of the cold!", grabbed my hand and pulled me inside! She was so lovely and we chatted and she had her picture with me. I even got to thank her as I had planned on doing, and she gave me a massive hug and told me how grateful she was that I came. She really is a lovely lady! So overall the trip was one of the best days I've had in a long time, and was definitely what I needed to cheer me up! I've posted the photo with this, hopefully it has worked...apologies for the quality, it was taken on my phone! And thank you to everyone on this website, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have known Anna was in another play! Hannah x Attachments:
