Tales From the Crypt - Video Alert!

If anyone in the UK hasn't seen Anna's performance in this series, the episode 'About Face' is being shown on UK Sky Digital channel 321 - that's Zone Horror - on Tuesday at 8.00 pm.

This mini-drama is only about 20 minutes long when you take out the ad breaks, but has a well known cast with Anthony Andrews as the lead. Anna plays a sweet young thing, and looks fresh as a daisy, except when she's playing the horribly disfigured twin sister, of course!

Anyway, it's a chance to review one of Anna's early post-Brookie performances and update the old VHS recording with a nice new DVD version.

I caught it last time it was on Sky2 - but that was years ago....(see the caps on the site) - but this time I can get a digital copy straight to DVD.... ;D

Have never seen this. Not surprising since have never paid for a TV channel in my life. (Oh, the wide world I'm missing!) They did show some 'Tales from The Crypt' episodes on ITV a few years back. Guess they never got round to this one.

Think it was Anna's first toe in the 'Hollywood' water (very roughly speaking), though it was largely filmed at some low grade stately pile in the Home Counties.
(Have a feeling there will be some behind the scenes screengrabs on the site soonish to go with any new HQ screengrabs of the show itself. )

Great performance! She did this and Cadfael at the same time, and they're both great. Just wish she had maintained this level of quality in her work, doing more light-hearted stuff like St Ives, Land Girls and Our Mutual Friend, and turning down crap like The Stringer and The Tribe, two years later.
