Anna is in and on the cover of this month's 'Red' magazine. Haven't seen the piece yet.
Come on Dave, there was no tip off. You are slipping man!

Not at all sure about this Esquire cover myself. Tights are just not the look. And as for all this 'Second Coming' malarky, would have thought it must be the fourth or fifth by now. Will probably get both mags tomorrow, am already looking forward to the cliche count. Will come as quite a shock if Esquire have used a decent writer and as for the chances of the Red article being any good......

Just been told that Anna's Esquire pics were in Wednesday's Sun - you can see the article/pics here... www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/article876002.eceAlso I am told that Anna will be in this Sunday's You Magazine...(part of the Mail On Sunday) - another to look out for... (Also had the nod about Red Magazine in an e-mail sent this morning - but it's been noted already !! lol)

(Also had the nod about Red Magazine in an e-mail sent this morning - but it's been noted already !! lol) Do you have any idea if she will be on the cover of The Mail on Sunday's You magazine? This is one publication which has subbornly refused to put her on the cover despite featuring several articles on her in the past. It is not a big deal or anything (it is the Mail afterall) but it will be interesting to see. Was quite shocked to see that the Esquire piece is written by Mark Lawson. Know he was always a fan of hers in Brookside. Anyone nosing into the mag hoping for a few more pervy 'nylon' pics is going to be mighty disappointed.

I noticed that Esquire used "Friel Good" as the contents picture tag... oh dear !! Good to see Red Magazine went with something different - "Anna Goes To Hollywood".... absolutely superb picture inside Red Magazine - the first 1, the B&W one..... stunning....

I'd better dig out my balaclava and crash helmet so no-one will recognise me (I quite like the red top, actually, and the hat Both pics have a strange combination of colours if I may be so bold as to state. Anna's usually very co-ordinated)

I'd better dig out my balaclava and crash helmet so no-one will recognise me I'm gonna either try and hide it under part of the weekly shopping, underneath a large bag of apples, a bag of mandarins and a large bunch of bananas... or just buy some "top shelf" material and slip it inbetween that... less embarrassment i suppose...

I read that article earlier today. Anna was came off as charming, as she usually does, but the reporting was weird. Like it's "curious" for a child to have their mother's last name. Honestly.

Welll that kind of tone is pretty much expected from "The Mail" - it's a very right wing paper and often derided and taken the "michael" out of for having a lack of tolerance on almost any subject.... Having read the full article in the magazine, it does come across with a slightly negative slant towards Anna - picking up on some tiny points and making it seem as though Anna is now a Diva and trying to read things into certain ways she responds to questions..... although you want an interview to have some kind of perception and reading between the lines/answers, some background study into your interviewee always helps and I guess in this case the interviewer relied on all the old tabloid gossip.... There is a big push towards Sainsbury's clothing ranges (Tu and Just Seen) in the interview (they're mentioned all over the place) - I had heard something about a photoshoot for them, so look out to see if there are any posters used in their stores... ;D

The Mail on Sunday is, if anything, a more liberal paper than The Daily Mail. Though that wouldn't be too hard. (No motorcycle helmets for me, I walked into the store and bought a copy with a clear conscience; I have to drop off a copy for my Gran every Sunday.)
Thought the piece was the sort of Home-Counties, bourgeois guff you'd expect from 'You' magazine. Plenty of amateur psychology, bags of aspirational, careerist tosh and more than a hint of nasty undercurrent, particularly over A's marital status. Should have kept my mouth shut over A never having appeared on the cover of 'You'. Wish that was still the case, that cover shot is a fright.
The 'Red' magazine piece is bland and Mark Lawson has done way better stuff than that 'Esquire' gig. Pics are OK, I guess.
Have we actually learned anything new from these pieces? Apart from the fact that A's house is Ben Chaplin's crash pad.

I found the article from 'YOU Magazine' Online - I agree, it has quite a lot of the same information and interview questions we've heard in the past, for her newer fans that have never read her previous interviews - they're probably learning a lot more about Anna. I just wish they would leave out some of the past tabloids stuff, like her past relationships and such...move on journalists, that was ten or so years ago. I love Anna's style, those pictures are gorgeous .

I love Anna's style, those pictures are gorgeous . I couldn't agree more on the first point - just shows how these lazy newspaper hacks insist in perpetuating obsolete pigeon holes for the subjects of their articles Not too sure about the second though, Amanda, but it's nice to see Anna made up and dressed more casually after the plethora of over-glamorised photo calls she's done recently - after all, she is and always will be a lovely English rose from Rochdale (as it almost says in the article) ;D
